Meet The Panelists

Dr. Adrienne Matheson Ph.D., C.Psych

Dr. Matheson is a Licensed Psychologist practicing in Ottawa, ON, who works with children, teens, parents and families that are struggling with a wide range of challenges including anxiety, aggression, bullying, trauma, separation/divorce, ADHD, self-harm, OCD, sleep, feeding and sensory regulation challenges. In addition, Dr. Matheson provides support to families that are going through divorce and separation by providing information, support and consultation. Further, Dr. Matheson conducts Custody and Access Assessments for the courts.

Dr. Matheson earned a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Carleton University (2009) and a Masters in Counselling from the University of Ottawa (2004).

Dr. Tracy Dalgleish C.Psych

Dr. Tracy Dalgleish helps individuals and couples navigate the challenges we all face in our relationships and within ourselves to create a more meaningful life through therapy, wellness seminars, and her work outside of the therapy room.

For over 15 years, Dr. Dalgleish has provided direct clinical services as well as researching, writing, and speaking about relationships. She provides psychological assessments, diagnosis, and individual and couple therapy for a variety of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, postpartum difficulties, stress and burnout, and relationship difficulties.

Committed to making what she does more accessible, Dr. Dalgleish is the host of podcast ‘I’m Not Your Shrink’ where she dives deeper into clinical knowledge and research in a relatable and informal way. She also offers other e-learning if you prefer to learn on the go, including an e-course for busy women to help cultivate self-compassion and awareness and a membership site for women who want to strengthen their relationship.

A mother of two young children and owner of Integrated Wellness, a mental health clinic in Ottawa Ontario, she understands what it means to juggle the full load of being a mother and a professional woman.

Michelle Sorensen M.Ed.

Michelle is a clinical psychologist with 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She founded Ottawa South Resiliency Clinic in 2018. Michelle employs the framework of cognitive behavioural therapy, integrated with mindfulness approaches, to help clients balance their thoughts, regulate their mood and change behaviour. Her view of resiliency is that although life does involve suffering and difficult challenges, resiliency is the psychological flexibility that enables us to face them and continue to grow.

Michelle combines her professional knowledge with her own personal challenges of being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and other autoimmune issues during graduate school, and discovering the psychological tools to help her live more peacefully with these medical challenges.

Meet the Hosts

Dr. Catherine Kyeremanteng Ph.D., C.Psych

Dr. Cathy Kyeremanteng is a Clinical Rehabilitation and Neuropsychologist with a focus on helping adults adjusting to the physical, cognitive, and emotional effects of injury and disability, including chronic pain, concussion, brain injury, among others. Her approach to therapy is integrative, emphasizing the importance of the mind-body connection in the experience of and recovery from mental and physical injury. She is also a certified 200 h yoga instructor and incorporates some of the principles of yoga (mind-body awareness, meditation) into therapy.

Dr. Kyeremanteng completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2012 at the University of Ottawa. She trained in adult clinical, rehabilitation and neuropsychology at several Ottawa area hospitals and clinics. For the past 8 years, she has worked in hospital-based rehabilitation and acute care, outpatient primary care, and in private practice. She has pursued continued education in a number of areas including neuro-rehabilitation, mindfulness-based therapy, experiential therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and yoga. Dr. Kyeremanteng is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and is a professional member of the Canadian Psychological Association and the Ontario Psychological Association.

Dr. Kwadwo Kyeremanteng MD

Dr. Kyeremanteng is an Intensivist, Palliative Care Physician, Founder of the Resource Optimization Network, Host of the Solving Healthcare podcast, a senior clinician investigator at the Institut du-savoir Montfort and Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. He will lead the summit proceedings.
